Borussia Dortmund forward Jadon Sancho would reportedly be open to a transfer to Chelsea. Speaking to Alex Goldberg, Frank Khalid claims to have spoken to England international’s father about this potential move, and it looks the winger is enthusiastic about Frank Lampard’s project at London club
Jadon could fit in well at Stamford Bridge alongside other promising young English talents coming through at the London club at the moment, such as Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Callum Hudson-Odoi. Sancho has shone in the Bundesliga and looks an ideal potential signing for the Blues after the loss of Eden Hazard in the summer.
However, Man United have been linked most strongly with the 19-year-old winger in recent times, with Dortmund likely to ask for around £100m for him. Khalid says English attacker’s father is aware that there could be several influences that swing Jadon’s decision, but it looks he’d be open to playing for the London club.
Sancho joined the German club from Man City in 2017 with an €8m deal. He became a key figure for the club and scored many incredible goals since joining. Jadon is a regular member of the Three Lions squad which is already a big success for the attacker. Englishman is contracted with the Bundesliga giants until 2022.
Blues fans will hope this exciting potential deal can happen once their transfer ban ends. Chelsea started this season impressively as they are in a fourth place in the Premier League table. London club signed Real Madrid midfielder Mateo Kovacic and Borussia Dortmund winger Christian Pulisic recently.
